Today marks 36 years of service for our Fire Chief Daren Bellach.
This morning was his last shift change, and following tradition, he was given a ride home in the engine as dispatch called out a special announcement of his retirement.
We'd like to say congratulations and thank you for all you have done for Kenwood Fire District, maintaining its history while leading it to a healthy future for our community.

And that's a wrap! Thank you to everyone that attended our Kenwood Fire Crab Feed! We had so many helping hands from cracking crabs, to serving, to clean up. Our Kenwood Explorers worked hard and Sonoma Valley Fire showed up to help too.
We are grateful for all the donations, all the support, and look forward to seeing you at next year's crab feed!

What's This??
Kenwood Fire Protection District is pleased to announce our LED Public Safety Sign.
This signs will be used to provide information on; critical fire weather (Red Flag warnings), Public Safety Power Shut-offs (PSPS), evacuations during emergencies (available routes/closures) and other critical public safety information and warnings.
This sign and others in Sonoma Valley Fire District, will be programmed remotely via the internet using computer and smartphone. Signage will remain operational during power failures as stations are equipped with emergency generators.
This project has been made possible through grant funding made available from Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. A special thank you to Susan Gorin-Board of Supervisor-District 1, Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, Robert Sanders & Co, James Grossi Construction and Above and Beyond Electric for supporting this project.

Heavy rainfall and severe winds with expected flooding are expected beginning Wednesday morning and lasting through Thursday. Watch for and avoid standing water, power lines, and falling trees.

PICK UP YOUR EVAC PACK TODAY!

Evacuation Packs are ready for pick up at our office located at 9045 Sonoma Hwy, Kenwood during business hours.

The Sonoma County Department of Emergency Preparedness’ Evac Pack contains a Personal Emergency Plan template for use in planning for disaster. The plan has space to fill in important information like meeting places, emergency contacts, medical needs, and more. Also included is an information sheet, tips for power shutoffs, and a check list for evacuations.
