The Kenyon Volunteer Fire Department will be serving hot dogs, chips and beverages this evening, Aug. 4th from 4:30 - 7 pm at Depot Park. There will be bounce houses and tours of emergency vehicles and equipment by the fire department, Kenyon (MN) Police Department, public works and KMU. Head over to the Kenyon Pool for free swim from 6:30 - 8:30 pm this evening too! Let's celebrate our connections and community!

We’re happy to announce that starting next week, the pool will have extended weekday hours (weekends will remain 1 PM-6 PM) for the rest of the season! ☀️💦

In Minnesota, there has been an increase in accidents regarding e-scooters, e-bikes, and e-motos. Here's a cheat sheet to help with learning and understanding the laws that go along with these forms of transportation. The council has asked the public to be aware of the increase with kids riding on these. Parents are expected to make sure their kids are following the State Laws and any local regulations. Please help with keeping your kids safe on the roads. Reminder, per state statute, regarding bikes, e-bikes, at Stops Signs, "if there is not a vehicle in the vicinity, the operator may make a turn or proceed through the intersection without stopping."

Affidavits of candidacy for the following Council seats may be filed with the City of Kenyon at 709 2nd Street between Tuesday, July 14, 2026 and Tuesday, July 28, 2026 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. except for July 28, 2028, which shall be between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

· Mayor: 2-year term (1 position)

· Council Member: 4-year term (2 positions)

· Council Member-Special Election : (2 positions)
(To fill terms expiring 12/31/2028)
