❤️🚑 FIRST ANNUAL FAMILY BBQ 🚑❤️

What an absolutely incredible evening!

I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make tonight’s First Annual KAFAS Family BBQ a massive success. The overwhelming support, fellowship, and sense of family truly made this event something special.

A very special thank you goes to Marbletown First Aid Unit for covering our district and allowing our members the opportunity to step away, relax, and truly enjoy the evening together. Your support and partnership mean more than words can express.

We were honored to host over 100 attendees, with representation from so many amazing organizations and partners, including:

A heartfelt thank you to John and Kari Davis of Pipes Pit Barbecue for the outstanding catering, to Confections by Crystal for the absolutely amazing cakes, and Face Painting by Nicole for making everyone look so cute.

We are incredibly grateful to Frank at Crested Hen Farms for opening your beautiful property to us and for the hospitality of your amazing staff, who made us feel completely at home.

Seeing our entire Board of Directors, Medical Director, line officers, members, and their families together under one roof was truly special. This event warmed my heart in a way I cannot fully describe.

Tonight showed exactly what the new KAFAS is all about: family, teamwork, partnership, community, and moving forward together.

From the bottom of my heart, I love and appreciate every one of you, and I am deeply honored to serve alongside such an incredible team.

Tonight, we had the honor of recognizing some truly outstanding members of the Kerhonkson Accord First Aid Squad during our first annual Family BBQ’s awards ceremony.

It is a privilege to celebrate the dedication, compassion, professionalism, and countless hours our members give in service to this community. From lifesaving efforts to leadership, training, commitment, and teamwork — tonight was about recognizing those who go above and beyond.

Please join us in congratulating all of this year’s award recipients! Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and KAFAS is stronger because of each of you. 🚑💙

🚑 KAFAS MEMBER OF THE MONTH 🚑

The Kerhonkson Accord First Aid Squad is proud to recognize LT Frank Bauer as our Member of the Month!

Frank has been a valued member of our paid team for the past two years and currently serves as our Training Manager and 2nd Lieutenant. Since stepping into the Training Manager role in February, Frank has come through the door swinging—bringing passion, professionalism, and a renewed focus on education and excellence for our members.

A Firefighter/EMT, Frank also proudly volunteers his time with the Ellenville Fire Department, where he currently holds the rank of Captain. In addition, he serves our community as a 911 Dispatcher for Ulster County, answering the call for help both in the field and behind the scenes.

Frank’s dedication to emergency services is second to none. His commitment to training, mentorship, and the progression of this agency has already made a tremendous impact on our organization. He consistently leads by example, stepping up to ensure our crews have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide the highest level of care to our community.

Beyond the uniform, Frank is a husband and father of three, deeply rooted in our local community and committed to making a difference wherever he can.

Frank, thank you for your hard work, leadership, and unwavering dedication to KAFAS and the residents we serve. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our family, and we look forward to seeing all that you continue to accomplish.
