What kind of phone does a turtle use?

A shell phone! 🐢📞 Which is exactly what was used to contact Kerman Animal Control today!

Our Animal Control Officer, Mejia, received an unexpected call for service after a turtle was found wandering in our community. Thankfully, Officer Mejia was able to safely locate the owners and reunite them with their shelled friend.

We are proud to help care for all members of our community including the ones with shells! 🐢💚

Honored to attend the Central California Blood Center Kick-Off Event alongside so many incredible agencies and community partners. 🩸

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was meeting Tesla, a young patient whose life was saved because blood donors stepped up when it mattered most. Diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL) at just seven years old, Tesla faced an incredible battle with courage and resilience while receiving lifesaving care at Valley Children’s Hospital. Today, she has turned her journey into a powerful message of hope, leadership, and community inspiration.

Stories like Tesla’s are a reminder of how important blood donation truly is and how one donation can help save lives.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this lifesaving mission and strengthen our community together.

The Central California Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive in Kerman on June 2nd at the Community Center. Please refer to our previous post for additional information and scan the QR code to schedule your appointment.

As our seniors near the conclusion of their final year of high school, we want to recognize this exciting milestone and congratulate all of our students on their accomplishments so far. Senior year is a special time filled with memories, traditions, and celebrations, and we want everyone to enjoy it safely and responsibly.

We encourage everyone participating in senior activities and trends to make good decisions, respect others, and avoid behavior that could put themselves or others at risk. Have fun. Celebrate responsibly. Look out for one another.

A few weeks back, President Maureen Meza presented Officer Cubillos with a $400 donation towards helmets. We are always happy to contribute towards community safety here in our community.
