I was inspired to write a prayer for my neighbors, please pray this prayer over you and your family.
Prayer for my Neighbors
Oh Lord how excellent is your name in all the earth!
With thanks giving, I am grateful to experience another day. Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I ask for forgiveness for me and my family and cleanse our heart of any wickedness.
I bless your holy name and acknowledge the goodness of your grace. It is by your grace that we are save and free from sin. Touch my heart and my family’s heart and purify us that we may be filled with your righteousness.
There is no other God like you, you are the one and true living God that created the heavens and the earth. Therefore, I put my trust in you. Your throne is forever and ever. You love righteousness and hate wickedness. God create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit in me.
During these times of uncertainty O God, I pray that you would have mercy on me and my family and neighbors and even those I do not know. I pray that you would rise up! And come and help us, redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love. God you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble.
This nation, our families, our cities, our states and our government are in trouble, we need your presence to consume this virus that has invaded our land. Save us for we know that you can and that you will. You promised to never leave us nor forsake us; therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way, the mountains be removed into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and mountains tremble at the swelling, according to Psalms 46: 2-3.
Father God, these calamities are examples that we are facing today your word teaches us not to fear. Though the stock markets have crashed, profits are loss, and many deaths as a result of the Coronavirus, and families are experiencing hardships in their finances.
There is a river whose stream are made glad, the city of God, the holy habitation of the most high. For God you are the stream, the peace that keeps us and protects us during all times. Your word declares that you, God, is in the midst of your people, therefore; my faith shall not be moved.
God you promised to help us and that right early. Because of your presence O Lord, even the forces of nature, sickness, disease, loss of income, and profits are not a threat to those who trust in you. For God you are with us. We will not panic but we will trust in you and lean not to our own understanding.
I am assured that you will, Father God, see us through. I take confidence in what I have read in your word, “Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations and I will be exalted in the earth”. The Lord of hosts is with us. I thank you God for watching over us and keeping us through life’s troubles. Open our eyes so that we may see the goodness of your hand and give you the glory.
Praise the name of the Lord! Amen!
