Who says flower arranging is just for the ladies? Our residents had such a fun time getting creative during a flower arranging activity led by the wonderful Brandi Allen! And as you can see, our gentlemen got right in on the action, too — proving that a good eye for color and creativity knows no bounds!

There were plenty of smiles, beautiful blooms, and maybe even a little friendly competition over whose arrangement turned out best.

A big thank you to Brandi for sharing her time and talents with us and giving everyone a beautiful way to spend the day!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our August birthday residents at our monthly Resident Birthday Bash! 🥳 There was plenty of laughter, sweet treats, and—most importantly—great company.

A big THANK YOU to Lisa with Alamo Hospice for treating our residents to a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage! There’s nothing like starting the day with good food, great company, and friends who take the time to make our residents feel special.

We are so grateful to Alamo Hospice for their kindness and generosity — and for bringing a little extra sweetness to our morning.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team from Peterson Health for joining us and sharing information about brain health and dementia. Our residents truly enjoyed the presentation and appreciated learning practical ways to support cognitive wellness, recognize the signs of dementia, and better understand the importance of maintaining brain health as we age. We are so grateful for community partners like Peterson Health who are committed to educating and empowering our community. There is nothing better than good food, great friends, and plenty of smiles! Our monthly residents' luncheon was filled with wonderful conversations, laughter, and the joy of spending time together. These gatherings are one of our favorite traditions and a great reminder that it's the people who make our community feel like home. Thank you to everyone who joined us—we always enjoy making memories together!

There's just something special about birthdays because it's a day to celebrate you! And who doesn't like cupcakes, cookies, popcorn, pretzels, tiaras, funny sunglasses and horns? Thank you to Sara and her team from Avir at Kerrville for providing such a wonderful array of treats and party favors to make our July birthday celebration a hit with everyone!

Each quarter, our residents plan a "For Us, By Us" luncheon, and this quarter, they decided to do it on the 250th birthday of our nation. Everyone was decked out in their red, white and blue for some delicious food, fun and festivities! Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help - whether it was setting up tables, decorating, cooking, baking, or cleaning up. It's definitely true that many hands make light work. If attendance keeps growing, we'll have to rent tables and chairs, but what a great problem to have! Our residents truly are what makes this community special.💚💚
