* At 8:25 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area.

Between 2-4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are
possible in the warned area.

Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...
Life threatening flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Thank you to all who joined us -- either as participants or as attendees -- during this morning's 2026 Kerr County Memorial Day Program at the monument on the courthouse grounds in Kerrville.

It was a beautiful day for our community to pause and salute our nation's fallen heroes, They paid the ultimate price -- sacrificing their lives in service to this nation so that we can enjoy the free way of life we do today.

This is what community looks like.
This is patriotism at its finest. Strength, reverence, resolve.

A big "Thank You" to our Kerr County Sheriff's Office corrections officers, and "Congrats!" to our newly certified jailers!

This week marks a significant achievement for the Kerr County Sheriff's Office as several of our corrections officers successfully completed Armed Jailer School. This is the first class from our agency to complete this specialized training program.

Our corrections officers play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our detention facility. This advanced training enhances their skills and preparedness, ensuring they can effectively respond to any situation while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

For six consecutive years, our corrections staff has passed state review on the first inspection, and even earned commendations from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards for maintaining and operating our jail.

We're proud of these dedicated men and women who continue to invest in their professional development to better serve Kerr County. Their commitment to excellence reflects the values we uphold every day at the Sheriff's Office.
