Deputy Stuart represented the Menominee Co. Sheriff's Office in the annual 'Ride with the Lights' event, supporting the Police Lights of Christmas outreach program.

This program gives back to Police Departments and Sheriff's Offices every year to help people in communities that are in need.

Last year the Sheriff's Office received gift cards that were used to help families during the holidays. This is just one example of the positive impact the program has made.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event!

STH 47 ROAD CLOSURE (CTH VV-west to Crow Settlement Rd):

In Wisconsin, “Road closed to thru traffic” means that the roadway is closed to vehicles traveling through the work zone but open to local traffic.

Key definitions:

Through traffic — Vehicles that do not have an origin or destination inside the work zone. These are typically drivers passing through the area, such as commuters, delivery drivers, or travelers heading elsewhere.

Local traffic — Vehicles that do have a destination inside the work zone, such as residents, customers, business owners, delivery trucks, emergency vehicles, and school buses.

**There has been some misunderstanding of who can travel through the restricted area. The local community who travel within the community who do not reside within the construction zone should use the alternate route of CTH VV (west)to CTH G or STH 55 to surpass the construction zone.
