Summary: Blackhawk fire started on the afternoon of 7/31/25, located approximately 4 miles southwest of Northport, WA. The fire has consumed approximately 31 acres and is being managed by NE Region IMT 3, that is also managing the Hope fire.
The fire will be turned over to local resources effective 8/3/25 at 8:00 pm
Containment percentage will be updated at end of shift today.
Operational Accomplishments: Fire crews worked on securing the fire line, installing porta tanks and hose lays. They began mopping up around focusing on 25 feet from the fire edge. Fallers evaluated hazard trees and removed them as appropriate throughout the day.
Today: Fire crews will continue to secure the fire line and mopping-up along the fire edge.
Weather: Mostly clear in the morning, become partly cloudy in the afternoon. Maximum temperature around 90 degrees.
Evacuations and Road Closures: No evacuation levels or road closure in place.
Safety: IF YOU FLY WE CAN’T. No Drones Please in fire area. We ask all community members, visitors, and travelers to please slow down on the roads, look out for fire crews, fire equipment, and be aware of drifting smoke. We are still in the area working and have crews and equipment on the roadways.
