This morning KFD responded mutual aid with Wayne Twp. to a vehicle rollover on fire with entrapment. The driver was able to self extricate enroute and on scene crews extinguished the fire.

A BIG “Thank you” to everyone who came out and supported our breakfast this morning! We are proud to serve this great community.

Just a few numbers for you; we cooked over 350 # of sausage in less than 5 hours, and fed over 650 people! (Hopefully no one left hungry!)

I also want to give a special thank you to our firefighters & their families. Each of your tireless work and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed!

Members have been busy training!

- Over the weekend 3 members completed surface water rescue, this class was hosted at Rochester Fire.
- Wednesday evening, members got together and freshened up on our extrication skills.

Was a GREAT morning for training!

We have been fortunate to utilize the state’s SCBA confidence trailer. Over the next two weeks, our volunteers, in conjunction with neighboring departments, will use this equipment to bolster confidence in our equipment and strengthen relationships with surrounding departments.

After doing some digging into our records, on May 6th 1987 members voted to serve breakfast as a fundraiser for the department. 39 years later the tradition continues!

Yesterday morning, KFD responded to an out of control fire. Once on scene, it was determined a large brush pile needed to be extinguished. Engine 1, Truck 4, & Tanker 6 made the run.
