Knights Ave Lift Station Upgrade

As shared in the Q1 2026 Village of Kewaskum Newsletter, the Village is set to begin upgrading the Knights Avenue Lift Station.

Originally built in 1989, the station has exceeded its intended life expectancy and has required extensive repairs over the years. This lift station serves the area north of Knights Avenue, west to Drexel, and east to the High School.

Project highlights include:
• New submersible pumps
• Above-ground controls and backup power generation
• Improved safety and accessibility for maintenance crews
• Enhanced reliability and appearance of the station

During construction, residents are asked to avoid Knights Avenue Park to help ensure the safety of workers and community members.

These improvements will help strengthen our infrastructure and keep the system ready to serve Kewaskum for many years to come. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue investing in our community!

This National Public Works Week, we proudly recognize and thank the Village of Kewaskum Department of Public Works team for everything they do to keep our community running smoothly in every season.

From clearing snow on early winter mornings, to beautifying our parks and streets, hanging flags and seasonal lights, maintaining roads and utilities, and handling the countless little details most people never see, our DPW staff works tirelessly behind the scenes every single day.

Their dedication, hard work, and commitment help make Kewaskum the welcoming, safe, and well-functioning community we are proud to call home.

Public Works truly is a vital part of what keeps our village a well-oiled machine.

The Village of Kewaskum is proud to recognize Kaeden Gruss for his outstanding service, leadership, and dedication to our community.

Through his work in Scouting, Kaeden has exemplified the values of leadership, service, and commitment. As part of his journey toward achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, he completed a meaningful project that will leave a lasting impact on our Village.

Kaeden thoughtfully preserved a piece of Kewaskum’s history by engraving bricks salvaged from the former Municipal Building with the names of past Village Presidents. He then designed and constructed a commemorative wall, now displayed in the Municipal Building lobby, creating a lasting tribute to the leadership and heritage of our community.

This project reflects not only incredible craftsmanship and initiative, but also a deep respect for Kewaskum’s history and future.

Please join us in congratulating Kaeden Gruss on this remarkable accomplishment and thanking him for his lasting contribution to the Village of Kewaskum. We wish him continued success as he works toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout!
