Kewaskum Public Library Foundation, Inc was created solely to support Kewaskum Public Library in its efforts to build a new library for its community. We are a non-profit charitable organization where all donations are slated to help support the library in its mission to be a strong community partner providing programs and services that bring people together, foster creativity, and encourage lifel

ong learning through access to information, knowledge and ideas. In 2013 the Kewaskum Public Library Foundation purchased land adjoining the present library for future expansion and later donated it to the village. After it was determined that the present building was not viable, plans were authorized by the village board for a new municipal building housing the library, the police department and the village administration offices. Currently, plans are to construct a library at the Annex site where the library will have only 6316 square feet on the second floor of a 27,000 square foot building. Today the library is 3058 square feet and the donated land would have allowed us to add approximately 6000 square feet to our current space. The Library Foundation was hopeful that we would get at least 9000 square feet for our new library. We also are very concerned about a library being located on a second floor. It is our proposal that a separate one-story building for the library be built on its own site. We need to have a library that is more accessible for the patrons who include families, seniors and school children. A second -story library would not fulfill those needs.

The Kewaskum Public Library Foundation was founded by 2 friends, Connie Zemlicka and Mugs McFadden. They cared deeply about education, and found many ways to support the library and all they provide to our community. We will be proud to carry on their charitable work and honor their memories. The KPLF would not exist without Mugs and Connie. Finding our footing without either of them will be a struggle but we will continue their efforts.
I personally knew Mugs for a relatively short time, only the past few years, and I am proud to have known her. I will miss Mugs input and wisdom for many years to come.

We had a great show on Sunday afternoon! We saw stars singing, dancing, tumbling, strumming and even roller skating! 🌟🌟🌟
We also had some impressive art to look at, delicious treats for sale and a whole lot of fun. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Kewaskum Area Arts Council our stars performed on a stage with professional staging and lighting. Their generosity and the support of our community raised over $200 for our local library!! Thank you to everyone who participated!!

What are you doing this weekend? Sunday May 3rd the Kewaskum Public Library Foundation has a show going on at the KHS Theater! Come join us at 1pm for a talent showcase!! Our performers have put in some hard work to get ready and they are ready to impress!!
No ticket necessary, just come and see the show!! There will also be a bake sale and some art displays from our talented community as well!!

Hope to see you this Sunday May 3rd at 1pm! Doors open at 12:30!!

The Kewaskum Public Library Foundation is very excited to announce that our computer goal has been met! 🎊🥳🎉 The Kewaskum Public Library will be purchasing all new Public Access Computers!!! We set our goal to raise $6,000 through our Pi Day event in March.

Our community turned out and helped us raise $3,000! Top Fuel Garage generously donated over$1,000 and today we received a check in the mail to cover the rest from a generous donor that wishes to remain anonymous!! 💻🎉🖥🎉💻🎉🖥🎉

Our library is getting all new public access computers, and we cannot thank the members of this community enough. The computers have been ordered and we will let you know as soon as they are installed! The positive impact this will have on our library will be felt for years to come!

Hello friends!
The Kewaskum Public Library Foundation, Inc. will be hosting the Rising Star Showcase on May 3rd! Auditions are Friday, April 10th from 3-5PM and Saturday, April 11, from 10-12. All ages and (and family appropriate acts) are welcome!

Auditions will be located in the community center at the library (which is currently only accessible by stairs). The showcase will be a Sunday Matinee on May 3rd, and thanks to the lovely Kewaskum Area Arts Council, it will be hosted in the Kewaskum High School Theater!

Tickets will be available to purchase at the door. You can fill out the application form ahead of time or fill one out when you arrive. Auditions will be first come, first serve.
