There will not be in-person interviews to collect information at this time. ICYMI: A new economic impact report on tourism shows that direct visitor spending in Kewaunee County rose to $24.5 million in 2019, a 4.23% increase from 2018 according the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

It appears more tourists are spending their destination dollars in Kewaunee County. The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has just released its most recent economic impact report on tourism and it shows that direct visitor spending in Kewaunee County rose to $24.5 million in 2019, which is up from $23.5 million in 2018, a 4.23% increase. Construction season is about to start back up and work to complete the bridge project on CTH S (Second Street) over the Ahnapee River in Algoma will restart around Monday, April 27, 2020. The site will be closed to traffic. Drivers will be detoured on STH 42 and CTH J in Door County. It is anticipated the project will be complete around Friday, May 15, 2020. Kewaunee County Land & Water Conservation Department is looking for your help to identify the impacts of invasive species within Kewaunee County and obstacles to combat them as they often have negative effects on the natural environment, on people's ability to use land productively, and on outdoor recreation. By completing this brief survey, you're also helping develop the Kewaunee County Invasive Species Management Plan, being written with the assistance of Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission. Thank You.

Invasive species are non-native species that often have negative effects on the natural environment, on people's ability to use land productively, and on outdoor recreation.

Taking this brief survey will help Kewaunee County Land and Water Conservation Department identify the impacts of invasive species within Kewaunee County and obstacles to combating invasive species. It will also help with the development of goals and objectives for the Kewaunee County Invasive Species Management Plan, being written by the Kewaunee County Land and Water Conservation Department and the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission.

In a message from the Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department, please respect park rules and remember to social distance when out in public.

We love that you are visiting Kewaunee County parks, but please be respectful in order to allow us to keep them open.

REMINDERS:
- The LOWER ZOO portion of Bruemmer Park is CLOSED
- Riverview ATV Park is NOT OPEN for the season
- ALL playground equipment & public restrooms are CLOSED
- Maintain social distancing, 6-feet apart, when in public and enjoying outdoor recreational activities that includes visiting our parks, biking and hiking on our trails as well as fishing.

Lastly, pets are NOT ALLOWED at Bruemmer Park. This is for the safety of the zoo animals. If you would like to walk your pet, visit the Ahnapee State Trail that offers over 34 miles of trail in Kewaunee County. The trail is pet friendly along with Blahnik Park and Reckelberg Park, which are located along the trail. Please use a leash and clean up after your pets.

For parks updates, please call the Promotions & Recreation Hotline at (920) 388-7199 and to speak with staff during hours of operation, Monday-Friday from 8AM-4:30PM, call (920) 388-0444. No in-person visits. ALL Kewaunee County Offices have been closed to the public effective Friday, March 20, 2020 until further notice as a precautionary step to lessen the spread of COVID-19.

We are looking forward to working together with local businesses (especially farms), government agencies, and the entire Kewaunee community to bring N2869 county road A , Luxemburg WI 54217 up to par with the rest of the other local homes and farms.
