The Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department is summer ready! The docks are in at the inland lakes, the picnic tables are out, and the playgrounds are calling your name at the parks. We would like to say THANK YOU to staff for their hard work, which also includes lots of lawn cutting. If you're looking for a boat launch pass or to inquire about required passes to ride at Riverview ATV Park, please contact the parks office at (920) 388-0444 during the week.
The orange barrels are ready to roll back out in Kewaunee County for construction season and the Kewaunee County Highway Department would like to make you aware of the following planned projects:
-Bridge Deck Replace - CTH E Bridge over the Kewaunee River
-Pavement Replacement - CTH FF from CTH C to CTH E
-Pavement Replacement - CTH V from Chernyville Road to Pine Grove Road
-Asphalt Overlay - CTH H - River Road - Northbrook Road
**Please be mindful of highway workers as well as flaggers when driving through construction zones, move over and go slow.**

REMINDER: Kewaunee County Emergency Management will be utilizing RaveAlert for tornado drills tomorrow, April 7, 2022 at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The mass emergency notification system will send out calls to landlines and text messages to cell phones for those who have registered. NOTE: Outdoor warning sirens will NOT be sounded in Kewaunee County on drill day. Also, in the event of severe weather on April 7, 2022, drills will be rescheduled for April 8, 2022.

CONSTRUCTION ALERT: The Kewaunee County Highway Department would like to make you aware that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is notifying drivers that construction crews will be working work on 11.7 miles of WIS 29 from the Brown/Kewaunee county line in the Town of Montpelier to County C in West Kewaunee beginning on Monday, April 11, 2022. The project consists of resurfacing, repairing & replacing culverts, installing rumble strips and widening paved shoulders. The project is expected to finish by July 2022. WIS 29 will remain open to traffic throughout construction with lane closures and flagging operations during work.

The Kewaunee County Public Health Department is partnering with Get Healthy Kewaunee County to recruit additional members. The Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department is excited to share that Winter Park - Kewaunee County was able to welcome 16,498 visitors for snow tubing, skiing and snowboarding during the 11 weeks that it was open during the 2021-22 season, which is a NEW ATTENDANCE RECORD, surpassing the previous attendance record by more than 2,800 additional guests.
