The Ann Arbor Railroad's car ferry City of Green Bay enters Kewaunee in 1972. Roger LeLievre photo/MHSD collection.

The vessel was built as the Wabash in 1927. It was converted from coal to oil firing (remaining steam powered) and renamed the City of Green Bay in 1963. It was permanently laid up for the last time at the end of the 1972 season, shortly before the railroad went bankrupt in 1973. Towed to Spain for scrapping in 1974.
