On November 3rd, Key Biscayne voters will be asked to vote on the General Obligation Bond. I think the GO Bond is a good idea, because it will give us better terms.

The General Obligation Bond that you're voting on has nothing to do with actual borrowing. No one is borrowing any money.

Do not accept the rumor and innuendo that's out there. There is no blank check. Please get well informed.

There are many projects that the VKB should be considering, because we need to get ready for our future. I can tell you that sea level is rising in the Village of Key BIscayne, as it is in the whole world, and we need to start preparing for that. We can't wait until the last moment.

Please understand what the initiative is all about. Do not think we are going out to borrow 100 million dollars. It is absolutely, totally wrong. Please. If you need to speak to me, you're welcome to call me, leave me a message or text me. I will get back to you. And if not me, then any of the other council members who understand this issue.

Between climate change and increasing severity of hurricanes, we need to build the infrastructure to make sure our island is protected and our property values are protected.
