Attention is advised regarding the ongoing Powerball races of the Race World Offshore Key West, Florida, currently taking place in the harbor. Please maintain a safe distance from marked boundaries, and if not spectating, avoid the designated race waterway. Be respectful of other mariners, adhering to standard navigation rules such as 'red right return' and yielding to larger vessels. Practice proper maneuvering to ensure a fun and safe experience for all waterway users. Spectators, please enjoy the event while maintaining a safe and respectful distance. If rafting up, ensure proper anchoring to avoid damaging underwater coral or wildlife. Be advised that the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Key West Police Department, Monroe County Fire and Rescue, Key West Fire and Rescue, Fish and Wildlife, Coast Guard, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, FBI, DHS, and other partners, including Navy, Army, and Air Force assets, will be present, both visibly and non-visibly, during and after the races. In case of an emergency or observation of suspicious activity, dial 911 if safe to do so and attempt to vacate the area while remaining available for questioning by investigating personnel. Stay vigilant, stay safe, and enjoy the event. Take photographs and share them online. Always ensure your Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is readily available and reflective devices are in working order. Maintain sufficient provisions and water throughout the day. In case of distress or observation of another mariner in distress, use Channel 16 or dial 911.
