UF IFAS Extension Monroe County Master Gardeners

The Florida Master Gardener Volunteer program is guided by our
Vision to be the most trusted resource for horticulture education in Florida and
Mission to assist extension agents in providing research based
horticulture education to Florida residents. The UF IFAS Extension Monroe County Master Gardeners is a group of volunteers designed to support and educate the public with research based informa

tion through the UF IFAS extension office in Monroe County. We are available to answer questions and help all members of the community learn and implement Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) techniques to provide a beautiful and sustainable landscape. Being in the Florida Keys it is extremely important to have this information available to the public with hands-on support to keep our unique ecosystem working together to maintain balance between our homes and landscapes with the native tropical plants and wildlife. The MCMG volunteers are available for plant clinics, assistance with home landscape design, Florida-Friendly Landscape Recognition and Certification of various landscapes such as your home, commercial, and new construction, as well as many other educational opportunities through the UF IFAS extension. Keep in mind that all comments will be reviewed with consideration of UF, FB as well as common sense guidelines.
