Thank you to our local contractors and industry stakeholders who joined us this morning for the City of Key West Building Departmentโ€™s Quarterly Contractors & Stakeholders Meeting.

Development Review Manager Brandy Lewis and Growth Management Director Patrick Wright shared updates on permitting, the Central Square cloud migration, tree permit changes, and other Building Department initiatives.

The meeting also included an open Q&A with attendees, along with an introduction from Acting Chief Building Official Ron Wampler to the Cityโ€™s incoming Chief Building Official, Doug Sposito.

These quarterly meetings are an important opportunity to share updates, answer questions and keep the conversation going with the professionals who work with our departments every day.

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ CONGRATULATIONS, OFFICER ADORNO! ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ

KWPD is pleased to announce that Keys Talk Radio has Officer Samuel Adorno as their Back the Blue Officer of the Month for September!

Officer Adorno joined KWPD back in October 2021, and since then he's made a real impact โ€” from his relentless work taking illicit narcotics off our streets, to the way he shows up for our community every single day.

He's known for building genuine relationships with residents and visitors alike, always working to strengthen trust between KWPD and the community we serve. And on top of all that? He's the guy who keeps morale high on shift with his humor and positive attitude โ€” the kind of officer who makes the whole team better.

The department wants to thank Keys Auto Center for sponsoring Magnum Broadcastingโ€™s Back the Blue campaign on Keys Talk 96.9/102.5 FM, Yacht Rock 93.7 FM, and Party 105.7 FM. Each month, the stations honor a Key West Police Officer and a Monroe County Sherriffโ€™s Deputy for their service.
