💚 Start With Hello Week Begins!

This week, MCSD kicks off Start With Hello Week, a powerful initiative that teaches students how small, intentional actions can create big waves of inclusion and belonging.

Start With Hello Week encourages students to:

• Reach out to someone who may feel alone
• Start conversations that build connection
• Include others in daily activities
• Notice those who may be isolated and offer kindness

Across the district, each school has planned special daily activities designed to help students practice saying “hello,” making new friends, and ensuring every child feels part of our MCSD family.

From morning greetings to buddy benches, kindness chains, classroom challenges, and schoolwide inclusion events — our students are learning that a simple hello can change someone’s day.

MCSD continues to strive for academic excellence, yet we know that true success comes from caring for the whole child — their safety, their connections, and their emotional well‑being.

💜Wearing Purple & Teal - Su***de Prevention Day 🩵
Our students & staff came together today wearing purple and teal to show our support for su***de prevention and to remind our community that every life matters. 💜🩵

Let’s continue to break the stigma, start conversations, listen with compassion, and remind those around us that they are not alone. Together, we can spread hope, kindness, and support.

Speak up. Reach out. Be there. You matter. 💜🩵

Picture Day is almost here, Canes! 📸 We will be taking portraits of grades 9 through 11 on Thursday, September 17th and portraits of Seniors on Friday, the 18th! You can pre-order portraits at hjmiami.com or in the link sent to your email via Herff Jones.

Seniors, come prepared with appropriate clothing to change in/out of. Ladies, spaghetti straps or strapless tops, and jewelry are highly encouraged. Boys should have a plain white shirt to wear beneath a blazer.

The yearbook store is also open! Purchase your Yearbook and/or Ad at yearbookforever.com. Yearbooks and Ad space are limited; the deadline for Ads is March 12th.
