DISCOUNTED STORM CLEANUP AVAILABLE (Tree Services)
There are tree crews out working today following last night's storms. If you need a tree cut down, trimmed, or hauled off; please message us on this page, or call/text (918) 913-1943. Most trees can be cut by an insured climber for $125. Haul off is extra.

The 2013 Tenkiller Lake Poker Run will be held on Saturday, July 27th. It will begin and end at Cookson Marina on Tenkiller Lake, near Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Each poker hand is $10 and players are welcome to play multiple!
The first poker hand will be sold at noon and the last hand will be sold at 4pm. The card stations will be open until 5pm.
Winners and door prizes will be announced at 6pm on the Cookson Marina dock.

The National Weather Service, using mobile Doppler data, and site surveys has classified the El Reno tornado as an F5, with winds of upwards of 296 MPH and at one point a width of 2.6 miles. The largest tornado ever measured.

The National Weather Service has upgraded last week’s deadly tornado in El Reno to an EF-5.

Free "Swon-Cert" at the Muskogee Civic Center this Thursday night at 6:00 pm. This event is to celebrate the success of the Swon Brothers' achievement on the NBC hit show, "The Voice." This event is FREE and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:00. The hit NBC show "The Voice" will be on site to film the event. See you there!

Reasor’s is partnering with the Salvation Army to collect donations to help with disaster relief across central Oklahoma. Text the word “Storm” to 80888 to donate $10 and Reasor’s will match the first $10,000 donated. Also, starting today, all 17 Reasor’s locations throughout northeastern Oklahoma will begin collecting the most needed items, including: brooms, mops, gloves, buckets, hand sanitizer, shovels & rakes.

Anyone wishing to provide aid to tornado victims should visit the Red Cross website at http://www.redcross.org/ to find out how you can help. Also, you can donate blood at the Cherokee Nation - 3 Rivers Health Clinic at 1001 S. 41st Street in Muskogee.

There are other efforts that are occurring in Muskogee County as well. If you have any other information regarding those efforts, please feel free to post them on this page.

Disaster relief at home and abroad, CPR certification and first aid courses, blood donation, and emergency preparedness. Support the American Red Cross today.

Muskogee County Republican Committee (MCRC)
2013 Scholarship Awards

The Muskogee County Republican Committee is awarding $500 College Scholarships to 2 first year college freshman from Muskogee County who meet the following criteria:
- Have at least a 3 point grade average their senior year.
- If 18 years of age, be a registered Republican
- (If student is not 18, one parent must currently be a registered Republican.)
- Must be a first year freshman Fall 2013

Students meeting the above criteria may turn in this application to an officer of the Muskogee County Republican Committee or mail to PO Box 2278, Muskogee, Ok 74402, or e-mail to [email protected] no later than Saturday, April 5th.

An appointment will then be set for an interview with:
‘The Muskogee Republican Scholarship Team’ prior to April 12th. Be prepared to explain:
- Your future plans!
- Special interests (hobbies, etc)!
- Your take on the ‘current political climate’!
- Can you name the top political offices, both state and national?
