Heads up for Clay Electric members: Starting with June billing statements, you'll notice an increase in your Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) due to higher wholesale power costs.

For a member using 1,000 kWh per month, the increase is about $5, bringing the typical bill to approximately $155.

The PCA reflects changes in what we pay for wholesale power. When those costs rise, the adjustment passes that change through to billing. We continue to monitor costs closely as we work to keep your service safe and reliable.

Clay Electric joined community and industry leaders today for the groundbreaking of Harvest Singularity's hydroponic greenhouse at the F-300 AgriFoodTech Innovation Park, and we're proud to be helping power the next chapter.

The 325,000-sq.-ft. facility will produce more than three tons of leafy greens daily, using 95% less water and 94% less land than conventional farming. It sits adjacent to the UF/IFAS Alachua County Extension Office, with the two organizations planning to collaborate on future projects.

Celebrating the milestone included Newberry Mayor Tim Marden, UF/IFAS Executive Director Damian Adams, Harvest Singularity CEO Charles Garza, and keynote speaker Rep. Kat Cammack.

Beat the heat and save energy this summer!
Raise your thermostat a few degrees when possible and make sure to replace dirty/clogged filters so your system runs efficiently. Use smaller appliances instead of the oven to keep extra heat out of the kitchen and remember to close blinds during the hottest times of the day.
Simple actions can lead to significant savings this summer. 😎☀️

Congressman Aaron Bean visited our crew at work in Middleburg on Tuesday, getting a closer look at the work that helps keep power reliable for our members.

Rep. Bean represents Florida’s 4th Congressional District, which includes Clay County and many of the communities we serve. We appreciate him taking the time to meet with our employees and learn more about Clay Electric’s work here at home.

A truck struck a utility pole on Blanding Boulevard near Constitution Drive and Bolton Road, causing an outage in Orange Park and blocking traffic while crews make repairs.

It’s been raining across the area, so please use extra caution on wet roads, slow down and give crews and first responders room to work. We're restoring service as quickly and safely as we can.
