The Commonwealth Regional Councilโ€™s February 2026 Items of Interest highlights continued progress across the region, including participation in VACo Local Government Day, the launch of Phase I of the BOOMS revitalization project in Kenbridge and Amelia, and the kickoff of the Regional Housing Study stakeholder process.

This monthโ€™s update also features new funding opportunities, recently awarded grants, and ongoing regional initiatives supporting economic development, housing, and community resilience across our seven localities.

The Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC) Economic Development District (EDD) has developed and maintains a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS). The CEDS is the result of a planning process designed to help guide the economic growth within the CRC region. This is a part of our five-year update. A copy of the Draft 2025 CEDS Report is available for review and comment for the next 30 days (period ends December 14, 2025).
