International Firefighters Day is a way to say THANK YOU to the world’s firefighters for all that they do to keep our communities safe.
The red and blue ribbon symbolizes fire and water.
It is our pleasure to serve Jamestown Township and work with our surrounding communities as well!

FYI for tomorrow's drill!

Despite the cancellation of the Statewide Tornado Drill, Grant County will proceed with testing warning sirens in all communities tomorrow at 1:45 PM and 6:45 PM.

Collectively, our communities have installed a significant amount of new warning equipment in preparation for this year’s severe weather season, and with these changes it is important that we verify the entire system is fully operational and ready.

Please don't burn today!

Fire Danger remains VERY HIGH today for Grant and surrounding counties. 🔥 What “Very High” Fire Danger Means:

Fires can start easily and spread rapidly.
Fine fuels like grass, leaves, and brush ignite quickly—even from small sparks.
Wind can cause fires to grow out of control in minutes.

ALL BURNING IN THE DNR FIRE PROTECTION AREA (most areas North of Highway 18 + Wyalusing Township) IS PROHIBITED. Residents in the remainder of Grant County are strongly encouraged to refrain from any outdoor burning, including burn barrels.

This is an opportunity to dispose of any medications no longer needed or expired.
You can view the map for locations. As I see now, the Benton Village Office shows as closest currently.
Please be safe and properly dispose of medications. Some clinics allow for this and other areas have secure dropboxes.

Drug Take Back Day is one month away. Once again, we are partnering with the Wisconsin Department of Justice to give you an opportunity to safely dispose of unused and expired medications.
As you start your spring cleaning, clear out your medicine cabinet and then, on April 25, drop off what you collect at a site near you: dhs.wisconsin.gov/opioids/drug-take-back-day.htm
