When you need a Word from the Lord, the best source is the Word. His voice is the Word. It worked for me and I know it will work for you. Even this morning He told me through His Word, “Great is my confidence in you…”. It warms my heart when the Lord speaks to me. Everyone needs to have their hearts warmed by the love of God.

Hurt happens. Pain happens, BUT who are we going to look to. If we look at ourselves as the source of handling things, we will mess it up. God needs to be the one we look to as our source. He needs to be the one we seek when our hearts are hurting. When we are all alone at 2 a.m. and our heart is crying out for love and acceptance, God is there.

Even if we cannot feel Him or see Him, He is with us. We have to learn to shut out all those things in our lives that are drowning out His voice. No other voice can fill the void in our lives like His. I have learned to fill my heart with His Words that He speaks to my inner soul through the Words of the Bible. They have brought me through many ugly times and they will do so for all who seek Him out. 2 Corinthians 7

The Bible is full of many things. Revelation, wisdom, truth, peace, joy, and even mysteries. If you have ever been one who enjoyed a good mystery novel, the Bible is the best one to study. The more I read it, the more I discover that I need to read it some more. It is my most treasured possession. The Word has brought such great peace to my life that I will never let it go.

Some are afraid to read all of it. I never was. In fact, because I heard about their fear I read it to find out what would make them so afraid of words. There is nothing in His Words that brought a scared fear to me. They brought instead a reverential fear. I on purpose do not want to ever do anything that would bring sadness to my Lord and Savior.

If when I read the Word and there is something I don’t understand, I ask the Lord and Holy Spirit for revelation of those passages. Sometimes I have enough maturity to receive understanding and other times I just have to trust the Word. Trusting that every word in there is truth. I am to read the Bible every day. Do what the Bible tells me to do, and share it with others I come in contact with. Revelation 12

As a woman who loves God and desires to have a heart after God, encouraging people about the truth of how much God loves them, it’s a bit difficult to believe that there are those who desire to commit ugly crimes. Yet the Word of God warns us of these people. They are those who have placed their trust in mankind and not in God.

The Word says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord…”. We are told to “not fear when the heat comes”. This is to prepare us that things are coming and we are not to be living our lives in fear. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear shows we have placed our trust in man and are not walking in the peace and hope of God.

We see the condition of our hearts by our responses to heat applied to our lives. Sad things happen. Bad things happen. There is no rhyme or reason, or understanding to why some things happen. Our response is to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, our minds, our wills, and our emotions. We walk by faith, not by sight. Remember, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. God comes to give life! Jeremiah 17; John 10:10

Do you know that God knew you before you were formed in your mother’ womb? If your reading this, God also knew you were going to choose Him and say yes to Jesus being your Lord and Savior. Did you know that places you in covenant with God? Did you know that having this covenant has wisdom within instructions to prepare us for the day to day events and more?

It does. Take for example Jeremiah 1, where it says, “They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord”. I wondered on many occasions why it seemed like people were against me for no reason. They would avoid me and not try to develop a relationship with me.

Then, I read passages like this and I am comforted with the knowledge that it’s because of my covenant with righteousness that people shun. People walk away from. The truth and love of the Father pushes those away who will not accept Him and who will not choose to walk in His ways. God is for me and He fights for me, protects me and guides me. I am not alone. I choose Him, after all, He chose me. Jeremiah 1

I am so thankful to have the written Word to remind me of those things that God will do for me when I follow His instructions. Take todays reading for example in Isaiah 41. I am instructed to not fear, for He is with me. I am not to be looking anxiously around me, at the situations I see taking place. I am instructed multiple times to “not fear”.

Fear is not God. Fear is of the enemy to get us out of faith. Faith in the Word. Faith for who God says He is. Faith in the promises He says I can have. He says He will strengthen me. He will help me by upholding me with His righteous right hand. It is good to know that in moments where the enemy wants me to believe I am all alone, I am in the palm of God’ right hand.

He assures me that in following Him, those who are angry with me will be shamed and dishonored; they will be as nothing and will perish. Those who try to quarrel with me or war with me, will not be found. I am again reminded that people are not to touch the Lord’ anointed ones. With Jesus as our Lord and Savior, that is us. Do not mess with God’ kids! Isaiah 41

Did you know that there are benefits for following after the Lord and doing His will for our lives? It says He will not forget none of His benefits. One is He pardons our iniquities. What is iniquities? Gross injustice and wickedness. Every time we are rude, snarky, miss the mark, lie, cheat, steal, etc. He pardons them all. He saw every one of them and has a right to judge us, but He doesn’t.

He heals ALL diseases. He redeems us from the pit. He crowns us with lovingkindness, even when we don’t feel like we are loved. He loves us no matter what we did, or did not do. No matter what we wear or say. He loves us anyway. He is compassionate with us. He satisfies our years with good things. We don’t get hand me downs, we get the best with that new smell to it.

One other thing that is a benefit for following after Him and doing His will is that He renews our youth like the eagle. I’ve seen many who are young but their bodies are very aged because of their lifestyle. Then, I see those who may be aged in years but their bodies are young as they walk out His will for their lives. His will, His way, are the best ways to follow. Many benefits are the reward for doing so. Psalm 103

When we love the Lord our God with all our hearts, our minds, our wills, and our emotions, something happens. Do you know what that something is? Psalm 91 says, He will deliver us. He will securely set us on high. As I read this statement, in my mind, I pictured someone standing in a dry creek bed and a flash flood was happening. Then a large hand came, lifted them up and set them on firm, high ground.

They were protected. When we love the Lord it says, “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Knowing this not only in the back of our minds but in the deepest part of our hearts has a reassuring peace and calmness that comes with it.

So what should we do having this knowledge inside of us? Share it with those who feel like they have no hope. They think they are all alone, the only one going through what they are going through. We have a hope for a lost world. We have access to a love so strong that it breaks through every wall if we will live it and share it for others to see and to have. To know how much, they are truly loved. Psalm 91

Have you been questioning about the length of your days? Have you been questioning why you are here? What you are supposed to be doing? When these thoughts come to mind, the Lord says, “So it shall be when all of these things have come upon you, the blessing and the curse…and you call them to mind. Return to the Lord your God and obey Him with all your heart and soul.”

What does that look like? It is pulling out the Word of God, not allowing it to collect dust on the shelf. Study it, meditate on what the Word says and not the lies of the thoughts coming against you. Declaring, out loud, what the Word tells us we are. We are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. It’s not our might that defeats the enemy. It is the name of Jesus and His victory over the enemy.

Victory over wrong thoughts come from choosing life and not death. Loving the Lord our God with all our hearts, (where have our hearts been focused), our minds (what have we been allowing our minds to think upon). That which we think upon, we become. Lastly, our souls (our mind, our will, and our emotions). We have a choice. To focus on life, or to focus on death. I choose life. Deuteronomy 30

08/29/2025

Every time we receive a victory in our lives, no matter how big or small, we should be singing praises to the Lord most-high. As I read and re-read the Bible, I am reminded time and time again, to give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever and ever. His mercy, endures. His mercy loves us time and time again, despite our mistakes.

Merriam, the sister of Moses, gave thanks with song and timbrel after the destruction of Pharaohs horses and chariots in the sea. She was also the one, who with Aaron her brother, grumbled about the choice of wife that Moses married. It was a mistake that brought leprosy to her body, BUT, because of Moses’ prayer and Gods mercy, after seven days she was restored to health.

The mercy of God loves us through any and all mistakes we make. He desires that no matter what, we seek Him. We seek Him in the good times and we seek Him in the bad times. He is always there, waiting to hear from us, waiting to speak to us, waiting to show His lovingkindness and mercy to us. Jesus gave the greatest sacrifice so that we could be restored, no matter what mistakes we have made. Exodus 15

God always has a remnant! Even when things were really bad for the Israelites who would not listen to the warning of God, spoken through Jeremiah, there were a few who listened. As I was reading verse 16 of Jeremiah 52, it says, “But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and plowmen”. My spirit got excited.

Why? These were the remnant that did not get carried away into exile. These were ones that had deserted King Zedekiah, when Jeremiah instructed that those who do so, would be saved. It is hard to think that running to the one who is going to bring judgement, is the safest choice to make in this situation. That is a very interesting thought.

We live in a day that many are not listening to the voice of the Lord. He has been drawing us and wooing us and warning us, time and time again with most not listening, like in the days of Jeremiah. There is a day of judgement coming and the safest place to be, to survive and thrive, is to run to the one who is bringing that judgement. He is the Lord, He is Jesus. Let’s not wait until it’s too late. Now is the time. Jeremiah 52

Each one of us is responsible for fulfilling the call of God for our lives. Each of us a part in the tapestry of what God has created. I cannot speak for how you will fulfill your part. What I do speak upon is what is revealed in the Word of God as I read it. Each of us is responsible for knowing the Word and how to use it to help fulfill our part in God’s plan.

Babylon had a part to play. They could have been the greatest influencer on the planet, to bring people to the knowledge and wisdom of who God is. They didn’t have the benefit of having Holy Spirit speak to them individually, but they had the nation of Israel to study. However, in this time frame, Israel was not doing well at being obedient to Gods guidelines.

Their hearts were focused on themselves and that example led to other nations. Instead of standing for righteousness and having a heart focused on the things of God, their hearts were focused on self. Much hasn’t changed over time. Each person has to choose in their lifetime, are they going to follow God with all their hearts, or are they going to live for self. Babylon chose self and look what happened. Jeremiah 51

Too many times I have heard people put all the blame on God for bad things happening. They make God out to be a bad guy who is always bringing judgement upon men and women for no reason. I have learned to ask why certain things have taken place. There is no one set answer for every calamity that has happened to a person or area.

Take S***m and Gomorrah for example. Two cities that for some time had been going down the wrong track. God in His mercy postponed destruction for many years, in the hope that they would turn from their wicked ways to Him. Then, you jump to the New Testament with Ananias and Sapphira. They lied to the Holy Spirit and judgement was quick, bringing about their deaths.

What it boils down to, for me, is what is the motive inside a person’ heart? Are we choosing to get self out of the center of our hearts? Are we studying to see how we can best serve the Lord God, with all our hearts, our minds, our wills and our emotions? That which pleases God the most is our heart motive. It’s what keeps us alive and thriving or will bring swift judgement. I choose the way of the Lord. Jeremiah 49
