Kilgore College is offering two fully in-person sections of MFGT-1091: Manufacturing Essentials this fall. This evening continuing education course provides hands-on training in:
🤖 Automated machine operation
🔧 Industrial maintenance
✅ Quality control and workplace safety
📐 Blueprint reading and precision measurement
⚡ Electrical controls, pneumatics, and sensor systems

🏅 Participants will also have the opportunity to earn the SACA C-101 Certified Industry 4.0 Associate credential, demonstrating foundational skills in smart manufacturing and automation.

Workplace safety is a core workforce competency for a region with a strong industrial employment base. 🏭

Kilgore College’s Risk Management Institute has received a $100,000 Texas Mutual grant for the 19th consecutive year, helping provide free workplace safety training for employers, workers, students and community members. The institute served 1,698 participants through 104 classes during the past year, with overall enrollment increasing 141%.

For Kilgore employers, this resource supports onboarding, compliance, employee advancement and a stronger safety culture. KEDC supports partnerships that help local employers access talent, develop employees and remain competitive. 🤝
