Today's forecast: Hot. Tomorrow's forecast: Also hot.
The heat is no joke, so here are a few tips to stay safe:
๐ง Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water! Donโt wait until youโre thirsty. (Spoiler alert: we're told energy drinks don't count towards hydration.)
๐ณ Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning when possible.
๐ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. Our Auxiliary has the perfect t-shirts for sale!
๐ Never leave children, seniors, or pets in a parked vehicle, not even โjust for a minute.โ
๐ If the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for your pet's paws.
๐ฅ Be careful with outdoor grilling and equipment. A dry environment plus heat plus sparks equals a bad time.
