Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, the men and women of the Kill Devil Hills Police Department pause to honor and remember the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community and country.

We especially remember our departmentโ€™s fallen heroes:

๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’™Assistant Chief Nelson Avery Tillett โ€” End of Watch: March 28, 1963
๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’™Patrolman Erskin Nelson Scarborough, Jr. โ€” End of Watch: October 12, 1982

Both officers lost their lives in the line of duty while faithfully serving the Town of Kill Devil Hills. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten.

Today, we honor their memory, stand with the families and loved ones they left behind, and recognize the sacrifices made every day by law enforcement officers across our nation.

Please join us in remembering all fallen peace officers whose bravery and service continue to inspire generations. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿš“๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธWe were honored to assist in escorting riders from Law Enforcement United's Team Raleigh LEU, Law Enforcement United - Team Greenville, and Road To Hope - Shelby as they continue their journey to Washington, DC for National Police Week.

Dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and remembering the survivors left behind, the riders made several stops along their route, including one this morning at Wright Brothers National Memorial. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค

Law Enforcement United Inc. is committed to ensuring fallen officers are never forgotten and that surviving families continue to receive support.

Thank you to all of the riders, survivors, and supporters participating in this meaningful mission. We wish all of the riders safe travels as they continue this significant journey in honor of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
