Lake Sakakawea State Park is seeking a full-time Park Ranger to join our team. This role blends facility maintenance, visitor assistance, rule enforcement, and team support to ensure a high-quality experience for all.

We’re seeking a service-driven individual with a passion for environmental stewardship and the ability to manage daily operations, support staff, and engage the public.

On-site housing is provided with this position, and the Park Ranger is expected to reside within the park while on call or duty to support operations.

Little Missouri State Park is looking for campground hosts for the upcoming season with flexible schedules and timeframes. Openings remain through October 15. Hosts receive free, full-service camping for the duration of their stay.

Self registration for day use can be made with cash in the drop box or with a card online.

All camping must be registered online. Wifi is available by the park office.
Horse and Vehicle permits are separate from camping fees. Annual passes purchased online will be mailed to the address on the account.

The first snake sighting of the year! It is a
Bull Snake, also know as Gopher Snake, Scientific name (Pituophis catenifer sayi). This snake is known for mimicking rattlesnakes when threatened by hissing loudly and vibrating its tail. Note that this snake does not have a rattle. Our large friend here helps control the rodent population.
