The 61st Quartermaster Battalion brought the heat during a competitive PT event designed to test strength, speed, and endurance.

From the opening run to the final push across the finish line, Soldiers powered through sprint drag carries, water jug farmer carries, sandbag lifts, and plenty of burpees. Every lane was a race, every rep a chance to pull ahead, as teams battled it out for the top spot.

The result: high energy, strong teams, and Soldiers proving that competition brings out their very best.

Ready, resilient, and always in it to win it.

A unique training opportunity for our Culinary Specialists! The 13th Armored Corps Sustainment Command was thrilled to host Chef Marc Cummings at the Phantom Inn dining facility this week.

After receiving an overview of our operations, Chef Cummings did more than just observe, he jumped into the kitchen to actively engage our staff during meal preparation. By providing hands-on, on the spot training, he helped our Culinary Specialists elevate both the production and presentation of menu items.

It was a phenomenal display of mentorship, proving that whether in a 5 star restaurant or an Army DFAC, the core ingredients for success remain the same: teamwork, adaptability, and pride in the craft.

Thank you, Chef Marc, for mentoring our young Soldiers and seeing firsthand how Army sustainment fuels the force and keeps our mission moving forward!

The Soldiers of the 418th Transportation Company continue proving they are in the EUCOM theater.

Over the past week, the unit conducted 100% inventories in preparation to receive Army Prepositioned Stocks while ensuring Soldiers remain mission ready through convoy certification testing and HAZ11 training.

418th TC also excelled during the Norwegian Foot March, with 24 of 30 Soldiers earning completion badges, including three Silver recipients. The Battalion’s fastest male and female competitors both came from 418th TC.

Beyond the mission, Soldiers took time to reflect on the history and purpose behind their deployment, visiting the historic site of Stalag Luft III — the WWII POW camp made famous by “The Great Escape.”
