Left photo: my first run for Mayor of Killeen. Three little grandkids barely tall enough to hold a yard sign — but proud to help Grandpa anyway.

Today: same three kids, same signs, same family. Just a whole lot taller. 😊

Watching them stand out there this week with my 2026 signs hit me hard. Time flies. But here they are — still showing up, still believing in this community.

I’ve officially filed to run for Mayor of Killeen, and here’s why I believe I’m running again matters.

In Killeen’s council–manager system, the mayor doesn’t run departments—the mayor leads through influence: bringing people together, elevating priorities, and turning the city’s voice into action. The truth is many mayors spend years learning how to be effective in this role, and by the time they do, their term is nearly over.

I’m not starting from scratch. I’m coming in with proven experience, deeper relationships here at home, and connections across Texas and nationwide—ready to lead on day one, not year two.
