Volunteers from Bring Everyone in the Zone and Bell County Veteran Services help Killeen veterans with a hoarding situation .

Last weekend, local volunteers, veteran advocates, and partner organizations assisted an Army veteran with a hoarding situation at Tallwood Drive in Killeen.

UPDATE: Due to the continued risk of icy roads, the decision has been made to close county offices Tuesday, January 27. Offices will reopen Wednesday and return to normal hours of operation.

The staff here at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery would like to invite all who wish to attend the military burial service for SFC David G. Acosta, a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Acosta served in the U.S. Army from June 28, 1966 , to August 31, 1989. Bastrop Providence Funeral Home has coordinated with the military service branch to ensure Mr. Acosta will receive military honors. If the media would be so kind as to push this out to the community, it would be greatly appreciated. The service for Mr. Acosta will take place on WEDNESDAY, December 17, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m. If you have the opportunity, please come out and attend. Thank you very much for your time and support.
