CPR/First aid with Melissa

As Spring approaches and summer draws near, classes are also just around the corner. I am pleased to announce a partnership with a brand-new training center, which will enable me to dispatch cards more efficiently than ever. We are currently seeking suggestions for dates and times to accommodate our community for CPR/First aid courses catering to individuals aged 10 and above. In preparation for these courses, I am diligently working to secure locations with community centers that can accommodate a minimum of 25 students for weekend courses. If you have any recommendations for locations that can facilitate this endeavor, please share your thoughts. I anticipate initiating these classes in mid to late April and look forward to seeing you all soon!

Although this video is entertaining, it underscores the importance of properly utilizing and comprehending the appropriate use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Utilizing an AED when available is crucial in conjunction with the administration of proper Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Having a comprehensive understanding of its function in the process is vital. Enjoy and remember that you too can play a critical role in enhancing the chances of successful implementation and the survival of a person in cardiac arrest.

In recognition of National CPR and AED Awareness Month in June, it is an opportune time to take proactive measures. Acquiring training on two-hands CPR, noting AED locations in public areas, and disseminating the critical importance of CPR training and its practical application when necessary are essential. I and several of our instructors will be offering hands-only CPR training courses throughout June 2025, aiming to certify 150-300 or more individuals aged 12 and older. These courses will be available on weekends throughout June, with locations to be determined approximately one month in advance. Registration will be required, and the cost will be reasonable. Please watch for updates on this project in the upcoming weeks. We hope that our communities can come together to make this an exceptional event for learning life-saving techniques. Further information will follow.

Some updated and exciting news is forthcoming to the community, aiming to increase the number of people certified in CPR and First Aid. I have been collaborating closely with the AHA and eagerly anticipate sharing this exciting development with everyone in the upcoming weeks. 🙂 keep an eye out the updates coming soon…
