To say proud is an understatement, we are over the moon with excitement. Jaden has been a great asset to KLVRS and to the citizens of Lancaster County. The love and compassion he has shown is amazing. He takes pride in everything he does. He has been with us for just a little over a year as a junior member and has strived at everything. Wayne and Teri we can’t thank you enough for sharing this young man with us. Congratulations Jaden, we all are so proud of you. Reach for the stars buddy.

❄️🚨 WINTER STATE OF EMERGENCY: BE READY, NOT SORRY 🚨❄️

Winter weather can change FAST — and when roads ice over, power goes out, and visibility drops… minutes matter. Here are some quick tips to keep you and your family safe. 👇

✅ WINTER EMERGENCY TIPS
🧊 Stay off the roads if you can
If you don’t have to travel—don’t. Black ice is sneaky and deadly.

🏠 Prepare for power outages
• charge phones + backup batteries
• set out flashlights (avoid candles if possible)
• keep extra blankets ready
• know where your shutoffs are (water/gas)
• if using a generator, have it at least 20ft from the house, covered, and easily accessible
• put a frozen water bottle in the freezer with a coin on top, if the coin flows to the bottom, this indicts the food may not be good

🔥 Keep warm safely
• never use grills/propane heaters indoors
• don’t run your car in a closed garage
• check on elderly neighbors & anyone without heat
• find the “warm” room for your family to gather in

💧 Protect your pipes
• drip faucets (interior and exterior)
• open cabinet doors under sinks
• know how to shut your water off if needed

📢 Stay updated
Follow local emergency alerts, road closures, and weather updates—conditions can change hourly. Have an am/fm radio on hand.

Today, we honor the men and women who run toward the chaos when everyone else runs away — our paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, nurses, and all emergency personnel who serve on the front lines every single day.

You see the worst of humanity and still show up with compassion. You face exhaustion, trauma, and uncertainty, yet continue to give your strength, your skill, and your heart to protect others. Your courage doesn’t just save lives — it gives hope to families, comfort to the scared, and peace to those in their darkest hours.

To every responder out there — thank you for the sacrifices you make, the time you miss with your families, and the quiet moments you carry after the sirens fade. You are the heartbeat of every community, and today, we see you, we honor you, and we thank you. 💛

24 years later, the weight of September 11th still lingers in our hearts. We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger when everyone else was running away.

There’s something special about a volunteer rescue squad. It’s not just about the calls we run, the lives we touch, or the long nights we share — it’s about the bond we build through it all.

We’re not just coworkers or volunteers. We’re a family.
We’ve seen each other at our best and our worst. We’ve celebrated life, mourned loss, and stood shoulder to shoulder through every storm.
