Head over and support South Haven Fire & Rescue at their annual Smelt Fry tonight! It’s a great way to support a neighboring department!

🚨 IT’S SMELT FRY DAY 🚨

This is not a drill.
This is not a test.

This is your chance to:
✔️ Eat until you regret your life choices
✔️ See half the town in one room
✔️ Say “I’m full” and immediately grab another plate

We’ve trained for emergencies…
You’ve trained for THIS 😏

📍 South Haven Fire Hall
⏰ 4:30–7 PM

Drop a 🙌 if you’re coming tonight!

After three decades of service, our community congratulates Fire Chief Dave Traurig, who retired on April 1st.

Chief Traurig began his career in 1996, rising through the ranks from firefighter to fire chief. His leadership emphasized firefighter safety, strong training programs, and dedicated service to the community.

Respected by colleagues and citizens alike, Chief Traurig has left a lasting impact on the department he proudly served.

On behalf of the city, the fire department, and our residents—thank you, Chief Traurig, and best wishes for a well-earned retirement!
