Visiting a South Dakota State Park this summer- remember the library has a pass available to check out at no cost. A big thanks to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks and the South Dakota Department of Education for sponsoring the free pass.

With the school year winding down, high school industrial tech students are working in their school shops, putting the final touches on yearly projects. Maybe that project is a bookshelf that needs a little sanding, or a deck chair that needs a coat of stain.

The S.D. Digital Consortium that the Kimball Centennial Library belings to has entered into sn RKA (Reciprocal Lending Agrrement) with 2 additional S.D. Consortiums: Siouxland Libraries and Black Hills Digital Consortium. Follw the instructions below or visit https://training.cdn.overdrive.com/Library/Libby/Libby-getting-started-with-reciprocal-lending.mp4 for a helpful training video.

Open Libby App’s home page

-Tap Libby’s main icon at the bottom center of the screen
-Scroll down and tap “Add Library”
-Select or type in either:
Siouxland Libraries (Sioux Falls)
Black Hills Library Digital Consortium

-Tap “Sign in with My Library Car”
-Under Partner Libraries-Tap “Kimball Library”. It should be already be listed.
-Enter your library card number (Call or message the library if you are in need of a card number or need the card number you already have)
-Repeat steps typing in the other library (Siouxland or Black Hills)

Move between your 3 libraries by clicking the Libby icon at the bottom center of the screen. You will need to search each library consortium separately for titles, but all books that you have checked out currently from all 3 libraries will show in your “shelf” and in your history or Borrowed “Tag”

You are only able to “place a hold” on your home library “South Dakota Digital Consortium) and you will only see what is “available now” from the 2 additional consortiums.
