KPS Patrons: The school district has been made aware of a social media post invoking a threat at the school that the sheriffs department did not respond to. This incident DID NOT occur and there is NO threat to the school. Kimball Public Schools appreciates all the Kimball County Sheriff's department is doing to help keep our school and students safe. We’re seeing an increase in scams where individuals are contacted and told they owe money for things like missed jury duty or court fines.
⚠️ Remember:
• Courts and law enforcement will NOT demand immediate payment over the phone
• They will NEVER ask for payment via gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer
• Scammers may spoof phone numbers to look official and create a sense of urgency
✅ Protect yourself:
• Do NOT send money or share personal information
• Hang up and verify by calling the court directly using an official phone number
• When in doubt, contact your local Sheriff’s Office for guidance.

On April 26, 2026 the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stevn Graypensperger (32) for Assault in the First Degree. Thank you Kimball Police Department for the assistance.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

04/24/2026

On April 22, 2026 the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant with the help of the Kimball Police Department. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Ashley Baxendale (39) and Zackariah Bissett (28) for the possession of m**h and bond violations for both individuals.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On April 21, 2026 the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daryl Burt (67) and Douglas Richards (35) for possession of M**h and possession of Ma*****na.

On April 2, 2026, the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search at Kimball Jr/Sr High School with assistance from Laramie County and their K9 units. We also appreciate the team providing a K9 bite demonstration for students and staff.

We are proud to share that no drugs were found—our school remains drug free.

Thank you to Laramie County who helped make this a safe and positive experience for our community.
