Volunteer Spotlight 🙌

Meet Tami and Chris — two of our incredible volunteers who were out in the heat knocking doors in Idaho Falls last weekend.

Campaigns aren't won by consultants and ad budgets. They're won by neighbors, like Tami and Chris, who give their time because they care about Idaho's future.

My heart is heavy for our community tonight.

Twin Falls and the Magic Valley are places where we know our neighbors, raise our families, and look out for one another. The violence we witnessed today is heartbreaking, and my thoughts are with the victims, those who were injured, their families, and everyone who experienced something no one should ever have to experience.

I am deeply grateful for the law enforcement officers, first responders, dispatchers, medical professionals, and ordinary citizens who acted quickly to protect others and help those in harm’s way.

Tonight, we grieve together. And in the days ahead, I hope we will do what the Magic Valley does best—stand beside our neighbors and take care of one another.

A busy week connecting with the people and places that make District 24A special!
Kevin attended the Wendell School Board meeting, joined the Twin Falls Rotary Club, and visited Thousand Springs State Park and the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument.
Listening, learning, and showing up for our communities, that’s what representation should look like.

Community Wednesday — Kimberly.

Good Neighbor Days was a couple weekends ago. Second weekend in July, same as always. A few things stuck with me.

The whole thing is free. Parade, music, fireworks Saturday night at the high school — no gate, no wristband. Friday’s dinner was BBQ pork nachos for a $7 donation, and it all went to the local QRU.

The parade had about 200 entries and no formal sign-up this year. You showed up and got in line.

It opened Friday evening with a dedication to military members. I’ve been on the other end of that, and it still lands.

Two people — Aubrey Booth and Melanie Lunney — spent a year putting it together. The sign coming into town says “a community working together to make a difference.” That weekend it wasn’t a slogan, it was just a description of what was happening at the park.

What do you love most about Kimberly?

I had a wonderful time in Kimberly for Good Neighbor Days! From the parade to the booth at City Park, it was a fun day meeting so many great people and catching up with fellow Independent Todd Achilles, candidate for U.S. Senate. Looking forward to more events and visits in Kimberly!
