On Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m., the East Pikeland Township Police Department had the privilege of recognizing several officers, staff members, community members, and public safety partners for their service, professionalism, and support.

These recognitions reflect the many different ways people contribute to the success of our Department and the safety of our community — through lifesaving action, strong police work, teamwork, administrative excellence, community partnership, and generous support.

We are proud to recognize:

**Officer Rhonda Carroll** — Police Officer of the Year
**Officer Matthew Paris** — Lifesaving Award
**Officer Ryan Leeder** — Award of Merit
**Officer Thomas Tartaglio and Corporal Kenneth Smith** — Unit Citation
**Officer Robert McCole** — Commendatory Letter
**Officer Timothy Purkey** — Commendatory Letter
**Officer Matthew Paris** — Commendatory Letter
**Cheryl Dobson** — Administrative Excellence Award
**Michael and Jeanne Rapp** — Civilian Commendation
**Karen Pfromm** — Civilian Commendation

Each of these recipients represents something important to our Department. Some acted during critical incidents. Some provided steady and professional support behind the scenes. Some strengthened our relationship with the community. Others stepped forward simply because they care.

We are grateful for their service, dedication, generosity, and partnership. The East Pikeland Township Police Department is better because of the people recognized.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients.

Over the weekend, Officer DiMaio joined in on the fun at the fishing clinic hosted by East Pikeland Township's open space committee. Kids enjoyed fishing and caught quite a few rainbow trout! Officer DiMaio was very helpful and the children loved having his guidance. Good job to all who participated!🐠

On May 13th, the East Pikeland Township Police Department (Pastor Wes Weber, Chief Major, Officers Corbo, Paris, and Carroll, and Event Coordinator Eleanor Wannamaker) proudly partnered with Calvary Chapel Chester Springs for a meaningful trip to Washington, D.C., to remember and honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Although the occasion was somber, the day was also filled with camaraderie, fellowship, and reflection as participants rode bicycles along a 35-mile stretch of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail together. Upon arriving in Washington, members visited the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall and joined countless law enforcement officers from across the country in paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

The East Pikeland Township Police Department is grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in law enforcement during this important time of remembrance and unity.

As Police Week begins, our department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all law enforcement officers who serve their communities with courage, professionalism, and selfless dedication.

Every day, officers across this nation answer the call to protect others, often placing the needs and safety of their communities above their own. The sacrifices made by police officers and their families do not go unnoticed, and this week serves as an important reminder of the commitment required to wear the badge.

To all who serve; thank you for your integrity, resilience, and unwavering dedication to public service.

Stay safe, and thank you for all that you do.

⚠️ Touch-A-Truck Cancellation Notice ⚠️

Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast and the likelihood of conditions beyond light rain, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s Touch-A-Truck event.

This was not an easy decision, but with the potential for heavier rain and thunderstorms, we believe cancellation is the safest and most practical option for our vendors, volunteers, families, and children attending the event.

While there is no rain date for this Saturday, we are currently discussing the possibility of rescheduling Touch-A-Truck for a date in September or October.

Please check back for future updates. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support, and we hope to see you at a future date.
