All 4 locations will have staff 24/7 to access 911 system and get appropriate emergency services to those in need.

***Update 6/5/26 @ 2100 hrs***

Telephone carriers have reported that services for calling 911 have been restored. Preliminary testing has confirmed this. 911 operations have returned to normal.

If you continue to experience problems with normal telecommunication issues aside from calling 911, please contact your service provide for additional information.

Thank you to our EMS and Fire Fighters for staffing their halls during this outage.

Chippewa County Central Dispatch is aware of an intermittent and widespread phone outage affecting the South and East sides of the county.

Due to this outage, some citizens may experience degraded service or no service at all.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have communicated with the first responder agencies in those locations to assist with emergency notifications and emergency service requests. Should you find yourself unable to access 911, you may go to your nearest Fire/EMS Hall. These locations will be staffed 24/7, and responders will be able to relay your emergency to the dispatch center by radio.

The communications carrier has advised that additional resources are en route to troubleshoot and repair. There has been no ETA provided.

We will update as we receive additional information.

Tonight at the NEMSA main station in kinross we were treated to a taste of Italy. EMT Halliday made ravioli from scratch and 4 other pastas along with home made Alfredo. All the crews seemed to enjoy the pasta and garlic bread. There will be leftovers for other crews to enjoy as well.

In honor of ems appreciation week, we are gifting all our employees with a duty bag, a coffee mug, sunglasses, a hot/cold pack, pens(cause theres never enough) and an ems sticker and magnet. Thank you too all our employees and everything they do.

Congratulations to Jameson for graduating from Combat Medic Specialist training (68W MOS-T)! Not only did he successfully complete the program, but he also finished in the top 3 of his class. We encourage all our staff to continue education and learning. We are proud to have him as a provider for our community!!!

Happy EMS Week! This week, we celebrate the incredible EMTs, Paramedics, and EMS professionals who answer the call every day with skill, compassion, and dedication. Thank you for the lifesaving work you do for our community.

We currently have 61 Employees and 42 of them work some other form of Emergency Services like Fire/EMS/PD. We can not be more proud of their commitment to our communities!!!

The NEMSA Board has decided to rotate our monthly meetings for the remainder of 2026, thus giving each participating municipality the opportunity to host a meeting, making it easier for their residents to attend and ask any questions they may have about NEMSA and the ambulance service provided in their community. Please see the schedule below. We look forward to seeing you all and answering any questions you may have.

Over the last 7 months KEMS/NEMSA held two EMS initial Education courses. The first was through the county and had 6 students passing. The second was through Rudyard High School CTE program with 4 students passing.

Big thank you to our instructors for assisting these 10 students with their 240 hours EMT course.
