The King George 4-H County Fair is coming up on Saturday, September 12, at the King George Citizens Center, and local youth have several exciting opportunities to put their skills, creativity, and knowledge to the test!

COMPETITIONS INCLUDE:

💡 Innovation Plan Competition
Ages 14–18 | $15 entry
10:30 AM–12:30 PM

🚀 Start Up Plan Competition
Ages 14–18 | $15 entry
1:00–3:00 PM

🐄 Stockmen’s Competition

The King George 4-H County Fair, hosted by King George Virginia Cooperative Extension, is coming up on Saturday, September 12, at the Citizens Center, and there are lots of hands-on workshops and educational activities to explore!

KGPR is excited to share some of the opportunities available at the fair, including several FREE workshops for youth and families.

Ready to build strength, confidence, coordination, and self-control while learning a traditional Okinawan martial art? Isshinryu Karate combines Kata (forms), Kobudo (weapons), and practical applications in a program focused on skill development and personal safety.

Tot Time Special Event: "Generations Together"

A special morning of play, laughter, creativity, and connection—for our littlest community members AND our older adults!

This week, our Tot Time group and members of our Healthy Generations Senior Cafes are joining forces for “Generations Together”—a chance for little ones and seniors to enjoy time together, make new friends, share a few laughs, and learn from one another.

🌱 For our Tot Time families: Bring your tot(s) for open play, story/circle time, a light snack, and a craft—all designed around fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and creativity.

🪴 For our Healthy Generations seniors: Come join the fun and enjoy a morning of games, crafts, conversation, and time spent with some of our youngest community members!

Whether you're bringing a little one or joining us through Healthy Generations, come play, create, connect, and make some special memories together!
