The monarchs have returned!
These monarch caterpillars are enjoying our butterfly w**d, a native milkw**d species and an essential host plant for monarchs. Milkw**d provides the only food source for monarch caterpillars, making native milkw**d especially important to the next generation of butterflies.
Each year, monarchs undertake an incredible multigenerational migration, with eastern populations traveling thousands of miles to overwinter in the mountains of central Mexico. Along the way, several generations depend on milkw**d and other native plants to complete this remarkable journey.
Planting native milkw**d ecotypes helps provide the resources monarchs need not only for the butterflies we see today, but for the generations that follow.

Please join us for a special evening of faith, remembrance, and gratitude on Wednesday, October 14, from 5:30–6:30 PM, the Feast Day of Pope and Martyr Saint Callistus I, patron saint of cemetery workers.

Together, we will celebrate the sacred work of those who care for our cemeteries and honor the many lives and legacies entrusted to their care.

This special gathering will be dedicated to the memory of Shelley Buckles, whose faithful service, love, and devotion helped nurture Blessed Trinity Cemetery, Saint Anthony of Padua Church, and our community. Her dedication touched many lives and left a lasting mark on this sacred place. If you knew Shelley, we especially hope you will join us.

We warmly invite everyone connected to Blessed Trinity Cemetery - families, loved ones, volunteers, parishioners, friends, and all who hold a connection to this sacred place. We also welcome anyone who wishes to celebrate the Feast of Saint Callistus I and give thanks for the good, faithful, and often quiet work of those who care for the resting places of our loved ones.

We hope you will join us as celebrate the people who help preserve our sacred spaces and the memories held within them.

This rose was planted as a lasting tribute to the life, love, and memory of Benito Hernandez by his brother Amadeo. May it bloom for years to come as a reminder that he will never be forgotten.

Stop by and see our Franklin tree (Franklinia alatamaha) in bloom! The Franklin tree is one of the rarest trees in North America. It was discovered in Georgia in the 1700s but disappeared from the wild by the early 1800s. Every Franklin tree growing today is descended from seeds collected before it went extinct in its natural habitat!

Named in honor of Benjamin Franklin, this stunning tree is prized for its fragrant, camellia-like white flowers and brilliant red-orange fall foliage. It's a living piece of botanical history and a reminder of how important plant conservation can be.
