Good Afternoon King George Voters!

As we look forward towards the November Election, we encourage anyone thinking of running for office to get their necessary paperwork in as soon as possible. We will be having a Primary Election on June 17, 2025 and Early Voting will open on May 2nd.

Once our office begins the daily process of Early Voting, and preparing for the June Primary the election will become our priority allowing less time for us to check petitions and work with candidates.

If you are planning to run for a local office, by law you have you have until June 17th to have everything in to our office (Election Day) including enough signatures to get you on the ballot, but we highly encourage all potential candidates to have their paperwork turned in before Early voting starts to make sure you will get on the ballot for November.

James Monroe and Shiloh District Board of Supervisor and School Board offices will be on the ballot for the November 4, 2025 General Election.

KING GEORGE COUNTY VOTERS

In a couple of weeks, we will be starting the process of No Excuse Early Voting in our office which is located at 10459 Courthouse Dr., Suite 102.

There are some things that I would like to address:

1) The first 5 parking spots in front of the building will be designated for voters coming in to vote or curbside assistance. We will have one designated handicap parking spot with a doorbell by the door close to the Treasurer’s office.

2) Early voting starts September 20th and will go through November 2nd. The hours during the week will be 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. We will be open two Saturdays October 26th and November 2nd. Hours for the two Saturdays will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

3) Please refrain from sharing your thoughts on any of the issues or candidates on the ballot. We value the fact that you are passionate about your issues, but we must remain non-partisan while in the office.

4) When in doubt, please ask. This means as you hear things on the news or read information about the machines or the process of the ballots being counted or how in general the Election is run – ASK US! There is 30 years of experience in my office. We are not volunteers, we work in this every day, so we know the process, but in saying this PLEASE be respectful and courteous enough to listen to what we are telling you.

5) The machines that we have in our office are the same machines that you have voted on since 2017. Nothing has changed with our machines, please do not assume that for this Election that something will be different with the machines.

Our office takes great pride in the integrity and hard work of our employees and Election Officials. We appreciate your patience during this busy session.
