If you’re visiting this page, I’m glad you are. While I’m leaving my position as Treasurer with the county (effective 9/23/22) it’s an opportunity for me to be an even bigger help to the citizens. I plan to run for 5th district supervisor in November 2023. Before you pass judgement, ask yourself now why would she leave as Treasurer and then run for BOS? First of all, a new career opportunity presented itself to me that would have been foolish for me to turn down. To that end, it’s the perfect segway for me to run for BOS. Keep in mind, I know a whole LOT of what’s going on behind the scenes that most citizens don’t know. Armed with that information, I believe it gives me an advantage over others. Once I’m out of the Treasurer’s office, I will share with the citizens what I know so that they are informed with the TRUTH! Not blowing smoke up anyones leg anymore. And please keep in mind, anything negative that may have been said about me with regard to my duties in the Treasurer’s office is not true. You will all know the truth soon enough. Stay tuned!

WE DID IT! WE WON! And, I do mean WE! I would never have been able to accomplish this task without all those who have supported me every step of the way. Some people I never knew until I started this process. And the wonderful support of those I’ve known for many years. No man (woman) is an island. So true. I think I’ve gained some wonderful friends along the way as well.

Today (2/2/21) is Special Election Day for King William County! All normal voting precincts opened at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. today. If you didn’t vote early, please try to go vote today. But please be especially careful if you drive. The roads could have black ice. Maybe a mid-day visit would be best if possible. Or, perhaps you know someone who could come get you. I would appreciate your support. Our county deserves better than what we’ve had and that of my opponent.

I am Mary Sue Bancroft and I'm running for King William Treasurer on the February 2, 2021 Special Election.

Just a bit of documentation since my last meet and greet yesterday (1/30/21). And, what an uplifting day it was. I had so many good King William Citizens voluntarily let me know they were endorsing, supporting and voting for me. Or, had already voted for me. Even when I went to the Administrative Building (maintaining my 40 feet distance from the door-except when I voted) EVERY SINGLE person who went in to vote let me know when they came back out they voted for me. Each chatted with me afterwards and expressed their hope and well wishes of my becoming the next Treasurer of King William. Even one gentleman who was undecided before he went in (who asked me several questions prior), said he voted for me. He said no one had ever been available for him to ask questions and because I did and he felt good in my answers he felt confident in voting for me. I was beyond humbled yesterday and am hopeful for a very favorable outcome on Tuesday. And, I was so excited that I just had to go ahead and vote early yesterday as well. I've never done that, but was very compelled to do so yesterday with the anticipation that on Tuesday I can just concentrate on voters who may still have questions for me. PLEASE VOTE ON TUESDAY (2/2/21) IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO!
