We loved welcoming fellow business and community partners, connecting, sharing ideas, building relationships, and simply enjoying good company.

The frame game is extra strong on the job site today, and it’s all thanks to the volunteers who showed up ready to level, lift, and laugh their way through framing day.

Every beam raised is a reminder that when our community comes together, we don’t just build walls — we build welcome. We don’t just square corners — we square away stability. And we don’t just nail boards — we nail hope right into place.

To our volunteers: thank you for donating your time, your sweat, and your willingness to hold a wall steady even when the wind tries to join the crew.

To our donors: your financial support is the reason these frames stand tall. You help us keep the mission measured, the materials ordered, and the momentum level — even when life throws us a curve that’s definitely not in the blueprint.

Today’s framing isn’t just construction… it’s community in action. It’s the first outline of a future home, sketched by generosity and strengthened by hands that care.

🚚💙 Habitat Stokes is growing again — in the best way!

We’re excited to introduce our two newest additions to the Habitat Stokes and Stokes ReStore fleet: Haul & Stokes — our "brand‑new to us" 16 ft. box trucks!

These trucks were made possible through the generous support of Stokes United, Habitat NC, and the AMAZING partnership of W. R. Vernon’s Produce Co. Because of this community‑powered teamwork, we’re able to expand our donation pickups, strengthen ReStore operations, and support our construction projects even more efficiently.

You’ll be seeing Haul & Stokes around Stokes County, helping us move the mission forward — one mile, one donation, and one family at a time.

This weekend’s Wall Raising was one for the books.
It poured rain, we got soaked, and we still nailed it.

Even with the weather, volunteers showed up with smiles, our future homeowners stood shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the crew, and each morning began with a word of prayer that set the tone for the day.

There was fellowship, laughter, muddy boots, and the kind of teamwork that reminds us why Habitat exists in the first place. And then — the walls stood. Hope didn’t just rise… it framed itself right in front of us.

We’re grateful for every hand that lifted, every prayer spoken, and every heart that helped build something that will last for generations.

A huge thank‑you to Century 21 Echelon for keeping us well‑fed and well‑leveled with pizza, and to our Faith Engagement Committee for the desserts, snacks, and fruit that kept spirits hammer‑high on Friday. And thank you to St. Mary's United Methodist Church for the pizza on Saturday — it truly kept us building strong.

Rain tried to slow us down, but this community showed up and proved we’re built on something sturdier than sunshine.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our one and only Sandy! 🎉

You know those people who say, “If you need anything, just call me”?

And then there’s Sandy… who has spent the last 20+ YEARS proving she actually means it. 💙

For over two decades, Sandy has been one of Habitat’s biggest supporters. Need someone to show up? Sandy’s there. Need someone to support the mission? Sandy’s already doing it. Need someone to love on you, encourage you, and probably show up looking fabulous while doing it? Yep. Sandy again. 😂🙌

When we say the people who love Habitat the most, Sandy is absolutely at the top of the list. This woman doesn’t just show up… she shows OUT! 💃🏡🛠️

And somehow, after all these years, she is still one of the kindest, most loving, big-hearted people you will ever meet. Seriously, we’re pretty sure she has more love in her heart than the rest of us combined. ❤️

So today, we’re celebrating the woman, the myth, the legend… SANDY! 🥳🎂

The Duke Energy crew turned an ordinary lunch into a high‑voltage afternoon!

Hotdogs were grilling like they were fueled by pure wattage, raffle prizes sparked excitement across the room, and the whole building felt alive with positive current. Their team brought the kind of energy that doesn’t just brighten a day — it powers real change.

Through their in‑house fundraising (and a matching jolt of generosity!), the Duke Energy team generated support that flows straight to Habitat for Humanity of Stokes County. That boost helps us keep building strength, stability, and brighter futures for families across Stokes County.

We’re grateful for partners who don’t just work with electricity — they generate it through kindness, teamwork, and community spirit. Thank you, Duke Energy, for keeping our mission glowing strong and our momentum fully charged.
