BURN BAN in Effect 🔥🔥🔥

𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗬
Kingfisher County is officially under a 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡-𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗡 as hot, dry conditions continue to create an increased risk for grass and wildfires.
During a special meeting Wednesday, September 2, the Kingfisher County Commissioners voted to issue the countywide burn ban, effective 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟴.
With vegetation dry and fire danger elevated, residents are urged to use extra caution. 𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗔 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟.
The burn ban restricts open burning, including 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗦, 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗦, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗛, 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗦.
Outdoor cooking using 𝗟𝗣𝗚, 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗔𝗦, 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗟, 𝗦𝗠𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦 is permitted when used in an appropriate grilling receptacle over a nonflammable surface and at least five feet away from flammable vegetation.
Please use common sense and help protect 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦, 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗦, 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗞, 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Please go vote & make your voice heard tomorrow. For the citizens of Hennessey, I pray the 522 ambulance vote passes. Hennessey is the last school district in the county to have the 522 resolution on a ballet. Without a passing of the vote The citizens of Hennessey might not have an ambulance in town. Which means if Kingfisher isn’t on a call they could respond as well as Enid ambulance. This will increase wait times for critical moments in a medical emergency. It will also increase the amount of time the volunteer Fire Department has to spend with the patient. If the 522 board does not need the entire 3 mills to keep an ambulance provider it can decrease the mills on the ad valorem tax without a vote of the people. Right now 3 mill = $30.00 per $100k of assessed property tax. So each mill is roughly $10.00. Nobody likes or enjoys paying taxes but this is a tax you literally cannot live without. If the vote passes the County Commissioner’s will appoint board members from Hennessey school district to properly account for the contracts & monies received from taxes. I’m praying 🙏 for the great people of Hennessey to pass this vital vote. However you feel about it, please go and let your vote count.

Severe weather is possible today and tomorrow. Large hail and 70 mph wind are the main threats, but there's also a chance for tornadoes. Stay weather aware!

It’s Oklahoma weather, there is potential for severe weather in Kingfisher county. It’s all going to depend on the mixture & dry line of where the storms will fire off. Just be weather aware & have your emergency plan in place & pay attention to the weather.
