With heavy hearts, we share the loss of Mr. Heder, who passed away last week. ❤️ On October 22 at 12:45 PM, we will host a lunchtime tribute to honor his life and the impact he made on our school community. Snow cones and popcorn will be available for and a microphone will be available for staff and students who would like to share a few words in his honor.

Let’s bring the creativity, fun, and Bulldog pride by participating in this week’s themes!

• Monday – Anything But a Backpack/Water Bottle: Bring your school supplies and water in creative alternatives to your usual backpack and water bottle!

• Tuesday – Dress as Your Type: Show us your type! Dress like someone who matches your ideal style or personality.

• Wednesday – Meme Day: Bring your favorite school-appropriate meme to life with your outfit!

• Thursday – Leave Your Mark: Show your Bulldog spirit in blue and gold! You can also wear a blank shirt and let the Yearbook team add blue and gold handprints to help you leave your mark!

Your participation makes a difference! By joining in, you can help encourage our students to participate, have fun, and show their Bulldog pride throughout the week.

What an incredible day yesterday at our very first ABODA competition at Mountain Ridge HS! Our Bulldogs took the field in Division 3 against some fantastic bands and brought home 3rd place with a score of 65.537. 💪🎺

The students had a great run. They are locking in on their musical performance and are growing both individually and as an ensemble. The meaningful visuals capturing the essence of our show, Point of View, are really starting to shine! 🎼👁️

We are so proud of the growth already, but we aren’t stopping here. This week is all about cleaning up the details and continuing to hone our craft. We are getting ready for our next ABODA competition next weekend at NAU! 🌲🏔️

Amazing job, Bulldogs!! Let’s keep this momentum going and continue performing FROM THR HEART! 💙💛

🐾🚒 NAFD FAMILY, LET’S RALLY BEHIND EMBER LUMEN! 🚒🐾
We are incredibly proud to share that Ember Lumen, Northern Arizona Fire District’s very own therapy dog, has been nominated for the 2026 First Responder Paws Therapy Dog Award! ❤️🐶
At just 2.5 years old, Ember is an AKC Advanced Therapy Dog who has completed more than 4,000 hours of training and made over 200 site visits. She serves alongside the members of NAFD, bringing comfort, connection, and resilience to first responders, healthcare workers, schools, and members of our community.
Ember reminds us that caring for our first responders goes beyond the emergency scene. Sometimes, a little unconditional love, a drooling face, and a few moments with a four-legged friend can make all the difference. ❤️
