FYI
The Kingman Area Food Bank operates under the organizational wing of St Mary's Food Bank.
Besides the food that WE purchase from different providers, St Mary's Food Bank sends us 4 to 5 semis/trucks with food per month. Including the Senior boxes and the TFAP boxes (the sealed boxes with the St Mary's Food Bank logo)
All the Food Banks affiliated to the program Meal Connect which is overseen by St. Mary's Food Bank are connected through an internet network. That affiliation is called "Partnership".
All the Food Banks have to enter in the LinkToFeed database the amount of food by Pounds In (what we purchased, what we received from St Mary's Food Bank, from the Food Rescue Program from local stores, from the food donations from our generous citizens, and from the food donations from any other organization), and the Pounds Out (the pounds of food we gave to our clients, the amount of pounds we gave to charitable organizations and churches, and the amount of food we give to local farmers, to animal rescues, and to local homesteads).
All the affiliated Food Banks have to enter in the Meal Connect data base the information of the clients every time they pick up food.
The program Meal Connect has all the information about the clients. The date when the clients signed up, when they picked up food the last time, the location where the clients picked up food, the people living in the households by name and date of birth, etc.
It also shows "who" entered the information into the system.
All the affiliated food banks have to follow the rules and regulations of St Mary's Food Bank, and the Food Banks are inspected every so often by the person assigned to oversee them.
SO
If a client picked up food at two or more "Partner" food banks within the last 28 days period, it shows in our screens, where, when, who, and at what time.
Many local pantries at churches and charity organizations are not "Partners" of St Mary's Food Bank so they operate under their own rules and regulations, they don't have to keep clear records of their transactions. They can if they choose to but the information is not entered in the St Mary's Food Bank database.
The Kingman Area Food Bank IS NOT and IT HAS NEVER BEEN a government organization. We DO NOT receive government money.
In every way we depend on donations. We are a 501C3 organization. We apply for financial grants from National Corporations, we also receive monthly, and/or one time financial donations from generous citizens and organizations.
We are located at 2930 Butler Ave. Kingman, Az. 86409.
Our contact information, schedules, requirements to sign up, official donation page, our 501C3 status information, etc are found in our website Kingman Area Food Bank. Some of that information is found in our page.
We DO NOT have a Facebook Go Fund Me. If you wish to donate please go to our website Kingman Area Food Bank.org or use the code.
Thank You!! We can't do it without YOU!!
