Nissequogue River State Park

Nissequogue River State Park Nissequogue River State Park encompasses 152 acres in Kings Park, New York. The park is open daily sunrise to sunset. Park is open daily from Sunrise to Sunset.

Our main office and lobby hours are from 8am to 4pm. Nissequogue River State Park is located on the north shore of Long Island. A variety of habitats including tidal and fresh water wetlands and hardwood forests provide habitat to a variety of shore birds, reptiles and amphibians. A section of the park has been designated a State Bird Conservation Area. The Greenbelt Trail, for walking and hiking,

parallels the Nissequogue River and provides scenic views of the river and the Long Island Sound from the top of the bluffs. The park also has a soccer field, a canoe and kayak launch, a marina with seasonal slip rentals and daily boat launch ramp, fishing, bird watching, interpretive signs, guided tours and group tours by reservation, plus a conference room which can be rented. Vehicle use fee of $8 is in effect daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day 8am-4pm, and weekends only starting Labor Day until Columbus Day. Kayaking and canoes available by reservation only. To make reservations please call (631) 269-9761. There is an active waiting list for seasonal slips at the marina. The cost is $25 per year to stay active on the list.
