The members of the Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Department are asking for your support as we collect bottled water to help keep our firefighters hydrated during emergency responses, training events, community activities, and extended incidents.

Firefighting is physically demanding work, and proper hydration is critical to keeping our firefighters healthy, focused, and ready to serve when our community needs us most.

We are currently accepting donations of cased bottled water (any size).

Drop-Off Location:
360 Drummond Road
Kingsford Heights, Indiana
(Feel free to leave your donation by any door if nobody is there)

Your donation helps ensure our firefighters have access to drinking water while protecting lives and property throughout our community.

Whether it's a single case or several, every donation makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.

Last year we asked for cases of water and the donations were overwhelming!

Thank you for supporting the Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Department and helping us continue our mission of service, protection, and community safety.

FIELD DAY FUN AT KINGSFORD HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY!

Today, members of the Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Department had a great time attending Kingsford Heights Elementary School’s annual Field Day festivities!

One of the highlights of the day was giving the students a chance to cool off in the summer heat by operating the deck gun on the engine and spraying water for the kids to run through and enjoy. There’s nothing better than seeing the smiles, laughter, and excitement from the students while also building positive relationships within our community.

Events like these are a great opportunity for our department to interact with the younger members of our community outside of emergency situations and help promote fire safety, community involvement, and positive experiences with the fire service.
We would like to thank Kingsford Heights Elementary School for inviting us out once again and allowing us to be part of such a fun and memorable day for the students.

We hope everyone had an amazing Field Day!

Today, the Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Department honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a day of remembrance for those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We would also like to recognize and thank members of our department who have proudly served our nation, including Jesse Garcia and Jessica Garcia. Your dedication, sacrifice, and continued service to both your country and community do not go unnoticed. We are proud to have you as part of our department family.

As we gather with friends and family today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who never made it home.

From all of us at the Kingsford-Union Volunteer Fire Department, thank you to all who have served, and especially to those who gave everything for this nation.
