📆Labor Day Weekend Reminder!

Camden County Schools will be closed to students on Friday, September 4, for a scheduled Teacher Workday/Professional Learning Day and on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope our students, staff, and families enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend!🇺🇸

🔺🟦 Hands-On Math in Kindergarten! 🟡🟩

Today, Ms. Fizer’s kindergarten class put their math skills to work with a hands-on lesson about more and less! Students compared groups by looking at quantities to decide which group had more and which had less.

🍬✏️ Who knew learning letters could be this sweet?!

Today our kindergarteners turned into candy letter builders! 😋 We practiced the correct formation of our uppercase and lowercase T and M by using candy to build each letter.

We talked about how letters are made with different types of lines — vertical, horizontal, and slanted — and then put those lines together to form our letters!

Learning, building, and of course… a little candy reward! 🍭💗 Our letters are getting sweeter every day! 😂✏️

Our students and staff had a lot of fun mixing things up with this week’s themes. Here is a quick look at the lineup:

🩷 Pink Day: A bright start to the week.

🏷️ Grade Level Colors: Plenty of friendly class pride on display.

🌟 Favorite Color Day: A great mix of personal style across campus.

📢 Schedule Update: Dental Visit Rescheduled! 📢

Please note that the Help A Child Smile dental team visit to DLR has been rescheduled. They will now be at our school October 5th through 7th! 🦷✨

If you haven't signed up yet, this gives you extra time to secure a spot for your child to receive top-quality dental exams, cleanings, X-rays, and treatment right at school.

Cost: Free for most students with Medicaid/CHIP! Affordable self-pay and private insurance options are also accepted.

Already registered? Your child is all set for the new October dates!
